MUSIC ON: ‘Going for a Song’ Short Animation Featuring My Track ‘Twists and Turns’

I’ve recently been involved with the creation of music (writing, recording, mixing & mastering) for a new short animation helping people understand how copyright works.

The animation, for CopyrightUser.org via AudioNetwork, follows the writing of a song from inception to getting it ‘out’ & heard by the public.

Produced by ‘Worth Knowing Productions Ltd.‘, they took my track ‘Twists and Turns‘ and reverse engineered it – going from humming the tune, to adding lyrics; recording it, to performing it and making it available to buy, download or use.

The original track is here. Written by myself, Barrie Gledden & Key Loy.
Additional vocals & music were added for the animation by Kes Loy & Lucy Kimmings.

LARK Studios Ltd. is now an Apple ‘Mastered for iTunes’ Certified Mastering House!

MFiT

In 2012, Apple introduced Mastered for iTunes (MFiT).

The idea behind Mastered for iTunes is to provide the listener with ‘songs that sound the way the artist and sound engineer intended’.

I’m now pleased to announce that Richard Kimmings & LARK Studios Ltd., are an Apple ‘Mastered for iTunes’ Certified Mastering House.

For more information of what this actually means, here’s what Apple have to say about it… Apple MFiT

What are your thoughts on Mastered for iTunes? Does it make a difference?
