‘Frozen Soundscapes’ Album Released for AudioNetwork – July 2013

Frozen Soundscapes

Frozen Soundscapes

This week sees the release of the ‘Frozen Soundscapes‘ album for AudioNetwork.

An interesting idea dreamed up by Richard Lacy – floating soundscapes, created initially using various tape machines, to develop ‘John Cage’ like ‘never to be repeated’ musical coincidences and atmospheres.
Richard speaks about it more in-depth on this month’s AudioNetwork Podcast.

There are 10 tracks on the album… Here’s a taster..

Summit – Intimate piano layers & mellotron strings building into an epic rock wall of sound

Ascension – Pensive ambient electric guitar ascends to epic soundscape with mellotron

Ice Houses – Slow building, melancholic Hammond organ with ambient drums & deep bass

Nature – Epic theme with bowed guitars & drums build from sad piano opening

As always – these tracks are available for download.
